Hamish

Hamish, born in Millicent and grew up on the farm where the studio is based. Hamish has exhibited throughout the State, Country and World, from Mt Gambier, Sydney, New York, Viena and many other places. Based out of the home studio and running a Livestock Production Enterprise also from Cluain, (the Farm). It is a busy but happy mix. The large and vibrant enamel paintings are a signature, but not all there is. Along with a group of Artist he runs an Art Event called Art in the Sticks each October Long Weekend.

Mainly work in enamel on stretched materials, canvas, denim, etc. A rapid and bold style of painting and huge variety of topics, from local South Eastern Landscapes, figurative work, native animals, dogs , just has a love of painting, the subject not so important. The colour pallet limited to the primary colours and black and white, some mixing occurs on canvas. Simple, Bold and Fast.
