Kerry Youde

Visual Arts / Burra

Kerry Youde is a Visual Artist working in Burra, specialising in assemblage and creation of objects, Contemporary Jewellery, Photography and Digital Collage.

Kerry Youde has over the last 10 years developed a strong relationship as a volunteer with the Burra Regional Art Gallery as a graphic designer, online content creator and contributing artist.

With a background in contemporary jewellery, photography and digital collage her focus is arts driven. The creation of objects to adorn, display or for consumption, with a strong interest on aesthetics in the nourishing of the human condition drives her arts practice.

Her wider focus is the exchange created between artists, galleries and communities that ensure the viability and enrichment of small regional towns. The potential within projects, such as the Burra Ephemeral Art Trail piloted by Country Arts SA, to highlight the assets of regional communities while exposing these communities to a highly visible and engaging artistic experience aligns with her expectation for a positive future direction in the arts landscape of regional South Australia.
