Yvonne East
Born and raised in regional South Australia Yvonne is a visual artist who works primarily in painting, drawing and digital multimedia mediums. In addition to exhibiting her works in contemporary art spaces Yvonne undertakes private portrait commissions, creative projects for commercial clients such as the BBC and Adelaide Film Festival, and large-scale public mural commissions.

Recently relocating to Sydney, Australia, Yvonne lectures in drawing and painting at the University of New South Wales Art and Design. In 2016 Yvonne was awarded Masters of Fine Art (Research) from the University of New South Wales Art and Design.
Other achievements include finalist selection for the 2017 Black Swan Prize for Portraiture, 2017 Kilgour Prize, 2017 Salon de Refuses, winner of the 2015 Art Gallery of New South Wales Robert Le Gay Brereton Memorial Award, winner of the 2014 Tim Olsen Drawing Prize, 2011 Country Arts SA Breaking Ground Award, finalist for the 2013, 2012 and 2011 Portia Geach Memorial Awards, semi-finalist for the 2015 and 2012 Doug Moran Portrait Prize, and finalist for 2009 and 2008 Dobell Drawing Prizes.
