For the first time, we have consolidated our shared knowledge into a new Youth Theatre Framework, guided by the principle that young people across regional South Australia will lead the journey of their own arts explorations and aspirations and made manifest through the shared appointment of a new Creative Producer in 2017.

Snake Sessions: an early 2017 skate park intervention in Bordertown and Whyalla. Branch Nebula’s team of professional skaters, BMX riders, dancers and parkourists infiltrated the skate parks jamming moves and tricks with the locals, building up to a spectacular improvised experimental contemporary dance performance. One parent messaged: "You guys should know how much of an impact you had on my boys and the skatepark. I hope you all keep inspiring kids and give more and more of them a chance to express themselves and be free - The world needs more people like you guys."

We believe it is the right of every young person to participation fully in cultural and artistic life as equal citizens, a view we share with Carclew and have done since the beginning.
Together we have given young people a voice to express themselves through art creation sustained regional youth theatre* for two decades.
Our partnerships have reduced the barriers created by distance and guaranteed that young regional voices are heard in the arts landscape.
Beyond the experiential learning and ongoing conversations with their contemporaries across the state, the greatest value has always been in having their voices heard and amplified by adults who respect and value them.
Now for the first time, we have consolidated our shared knowledge into a new Youth Theatre Framework, guided by the principle that young people across regional South Australia will lead the journey of their own arts explorations and aspirations and made manifest through the shared appointment of a new Creative Producer in 2017.
Through a model of participatory art-making, young people will be mentored to activate spaces in their towns, empowering them to investigate, explore and determine their own future as artists, producers, curators, artsworkers and cultural leaders.
